Kansas City based and built different. Scott served in the United States Air Force before spending a decade navigating the high-stakes world of freight brokerage, where he honed a relentless work ethic and a talent for connecting complex systems.
In 2019, Scott discovered cryptocurrency and dove headfirst into the space, driven by a conviction that decentralized technology could reshape how the world works. Then in 2022, life threw its hardest curveball: multiple strokes forced a complete career rethink.
Rather than step back, Scott stepped up. The YouTube channel came first — daily livestreams about long-term crypto investing — and along the way he found Canton Network. Privacy-preserving, institutional-grade, actually built for real financial use cases. He fell in love with it, and decided to build an app on it. Honestly? Just to prove he could. And to prove that anyone could.
Today, Scott runs a 20,000-subscriber YouTube channel (LongViewCompute) and is building LongView Crew solo — over 1,100 files of production code on Canton Network, with AI as his pair programmer. He is not a career software engineer. He is a freight broker who learned what he needed to learn, one file at a time.
In April 2026, Scott publicly pivoted LongView Crew away from yield-maximization toward education and non-custodial on-chain tooling — aligning the product with the SEC's April 13, 2026 Covered User Interface Provider safe harbor. The pivot, the reasoning, and every architectural decision since have been documented publicly. That's the ethos: build the app in public, show the work, update the story when the facts change.
